Proyecto de 10 horas – Español 2
You will choose a topic pertaining to Hispanic culture that you will research for 10 hours during the winter term. You are to become an expert on this topic. In addition, you are required to ‘produce’ something related to the topic. The requirements for the project are:
1) A journal kept of all activity that documents how you spend your time. It can be in English, but should include at least 40-50 different words/expressions that are important to the project that are translated into Spanish. The journal should be very detailed about day/time spent on the project. You also should record your research here. You can use a folder with lined paper inside for the journal. You should keep all printed research material here as well, including your works cited page. The journal will be turned in periodically.
2) A presentation, in Spanish, that summarizes what you produced and learned in the process. It has to be completely in Spanish and you can’t use notes. This will require practice.
3) The project itself. As we discussed, this can be a food dish, piece of art work, etc. This must be preapproved by me in advance.
The following dates are required to turn in pieces of the project:
January 6: Topics due
January 17th: First journal due date with project proposal.
January 31st: Second journal due date
February 13th: Final projects due – presentations to follow
