Use of AI
In order to ensure and promote independent learning and creative thinking, students are prohibited from using any AI tools to do any kind of thinking for them, avoid the critical thinking tasks of an assignment (convey ideas, thoughts, analysis, connections, interpretations, translations argumentation), or as a substitute for demonstrating the skills being assessed on any given assignment. Exceptions to the above may be made only when a teacher provides permission in writing to use AI tools related to specific assignment. Even when an exception is provided, students are prohibited from copying information directly from AI tools and using it as their own.
Utilizing AI tools without permission to complete assignments or academic work is considered an act of academic dishonesty as written in the policy above and will result in the consequences defined above.
