World News Digest provides than 300,000 original articles from 1940 to today. These include overviews of historic events, country profiles, historical documents, biographies, research features, special reports, editorials.

In-depth coverage of the most important issues of the day. Full-length articles include an overview, historical background, chronology, pro/con feature, plus resources for additional research.

Regional, national, and world Newspapers.

Provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 40 (U.S.) & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.

On landing page, click the "More" tab and select Newspapers. Having familiarized yourself with background on your topic, select "Advanced Search" to narrow your results using multiple terms. Check "Full Text" before your search.You can further narrow your results by selecting language, dates and other filters on the left margin of your results page.

Pay attention to the "limiters"(ie. types of publication, date range, subject headings, databases with most results) to the left of your search results to narrow your focus.
